In northern Utah, we have multiple properties, encompassing over 100,000 acres in total, that are enrolled in the Utah CWMU program. On these properties our seasons start with Archery only hunts in mid August and transitioning to the any weapon hunts that run from September 1 through November 10. Each CWMU property has its own lodging facilities and professional guide staff.
These properties have been well managed and are actively involved in predator control programs that eliminate excessive numbers of coyotes and mountain lions, as well as winter feeding programs to minimize winter mortality, even in the worst winters. If you want to target mature bucks, these are excellent hunts to consider. The hunts include your guaranteed landowner voucher in the hunt cost. So no draw is required.
These hunts are limited and you need to book early to reserve your dates.
