This region of western Wyoming requires you only to draw a General Elk license to experience Wyoming elk hunting the way it was meant to be - from horseback, far from the roads, and out of a remote wall tent camp. This area of Wyoming has not been destroyed by packs of wolves, the grizzly bears are not present, and the elk populations are good. Hunter's success in these camps is very high and almost every able-bodied hunter gets a shot at one of these backcountry bulls.
We offer September 10-25 archery elk hunts and then the September 26 thru October 31 rifle elk hunts with camp limited to only six hunters each week.
Steve's Outdoor Adventures will handle your license applications and send you a copy for your records. The licenses are relatively easy to draw and the hunting is outstanding. The vast majority of bulls killed are 6x6 or better in size and provide the clients with incredible hunting experience. Also, there are some very limited September and early October mule deer hunting opportunities as well. Call us for details at 1-800-303-1304
