There is nothing more exciting than ambushing a big brown bear as he feeds on salmon in a narrow creek bottom, or crawling into position for a shot as a bear mows down on mountainside blueberries. Hunting fall brown bears is as adrenaline-filled a rush as there is in the hunting world. And, our areas within the park and refuge in SW Alaska hold some of the best brown bear hunting in the State of Alaska.
We can host you on a hunt from comfortable lodge/cabin facilities - using jet boats to access the many miles of rivers, lakes, and streams inside the park where we find the big bruins as they feed on salmon and blueberries. Or we can fly you into a remote outfitter tent spike camp within the refuge and hunt for the big bears that reside there. We only hunt these areas in the fall when the bears are congregated in the valleys for the annual fish runs.
