These hunts are conducted in a massive exclusive guide territory near Smithers, BC in the coast mountains. Hunters stay in remote cabin camps and use 4WD trucks and ATV/UTV vehicles to access the hundreds of miles of remote logging roads. Look for big black bear boars as they emerge from their winter dens and feed on the green-up along the roads, lakeshores, and meadows in this extremely scenic and beautiful region of British Columbia. We have several different cabin camps scattered throughout the vast hunting area and hunters are always in rustic yet comfortable accommodations.
Hunter's success is extremely high and a second black bear is available on a trophy fee basis for hunters who wish to fill two tags. Coast mountain bears are big and while 90% of the boars shot are jet black the occasional chocolate bear is found each spring.
