This hunt has been our top "Trophy" Black bear area for a long time. Many of our clients have taken bears squaring between 6' 6" and 7' 6" and each spring multiple clients take bears with 20"-21" + sized skulls. This is an easy hunt that anyone can enjoy. Hunters and guides cruise the logging roads in 4WD trucks glassing for bears and stalking the biggest of the bruins. This hunt is ideal for archery spot-n-stalk and easy for hunters with rifles or muzzleloaders. Hunters are generally guided 2:1 with high rates of success making this the perfect hunt for buddies, father/son or daughter, or husband/wife. Upgrade to 1:1 is possible, call for details.
The lodge is exceptionally nice and very comfortable. Great food and good times every night when you return. The guides care for the hides - turning eyes, lips, noses, and putting the salt on them to preserve your hard-earned trophy. And, a local taxidermist can ship the hide to your taxidermist OR handle the rug or mount for you. Hunter's success is extremely high with over 98% of our clients taking at least one bear and many of our clients have shot a second bruin on a trophy fee basis.
