For hunters looking to fill the freezer and still have an enjoyable elk hunting experience, we have antlerless (cow) elk hunts in Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico available on private lands. These hunts are 100% fully outfitted and guided, just like the bull elk hunts only at a lower cost.
High elk populations mean more elk need to be killed, and in some areas, like regions where crop damage is expensive for landowners, special damage control permits are available as well as landowner permits/vouchers.
