Wyoming Muledeer Wyoming Mule Deer Hunts

Wyoming is probably our most popular destination for trophy mule deer hunters. The seasons run September 1-30 for archery hunters and October 1-31 for rifle hunters. Licenses must be obtained through the draw but for hunters who book and apply before the March 15 license deadline we are always a 100% draw. Due to the increased demand for Wyoming deer licenses every year the odds of getting a license after the initial drawing deadline are very slim. We hunt primarily in the region in and around Sheridan and Buffalo - this is a tremendous mule deer area where large tracts of private lands allow for exceptional deer management. We represent two different outfitters in the region and both do an excellent job of guiding our clients.

Montana Muledeer Montana Mule Deer Hunts

This is probably one of the most underrated states out west for truly fine trophy mu;edeer hunting. We offer hunts on several large private ranches in the eastern and central portion of the state. Montana allows for a very liberal season that runs from late October through the peak of the rut in November. One of the last western states to allow peak rut hunting for mule deer. Licenses are guaranteed through the outfitters so no draw is required – however license forms must be processed by March 15 and there are no exceptions. All of our ranches are very large with light deer harvest to maximize trophy potential. NO DRAWS.

Gallery Colorado Mule Deer Hunts

The all time favorite place for our clients to hunt for trophy mule deer is Colorado. We hunt exclusively on private lands managed for quality deer AND we have great combination hunts available for elk at the same time. We do the majority of our hunting on private ranches along the western slope near Montrose, Cortez, Durango, and Dolores – and all of our properties have excellent trophy potential. All mule deer licenses are obtained through the draw however we do get a limited allocation of landowner permits to sell our clients that do not draw for a reasonable and additional cost. We offer some early season archery and muzzleloader hunts but focus on the October-November rifle hunts.

Gallery Bristish Columbia Mule Deer Hunts

Here is an underrated mule deer destination! Most people would not know it but British Columbia has a thriving and exceptional mule deer population. Diverse habitats and areas allow us to book our clients anytime between September 1st and December 10th – with some fantastic outfitters. Early season hunts above alpine rival the hunts in Wyoming’s back country for quality and experience. We have special agricultural area hunts in late October and early November. And we end out the season with winter range hunts in late November and early December. Some monster bucks are killed in British Columbia every year so don’t overlook these fantastic mule deer hunts when you are considering a hunt for this fall. Licenses are guaranteed – NO DRAWS

Utah Mule Deer Hunts

Utah is also a top mule deer destination – but it is an expensive one. This state is one of the hardest states out west to draw a quality deer tag and this is why we hunt exclusively on private ranches enrolled in the Utah CWMU program. This means our clients get a guaranteed deer tag to hunt on private lands and we get to set our own season dates. Our hunts are done early September 1-15 and then again late November 1-10 to take advantage of early season bachelor groups and easy patterning as well as the late season rut. While the cost to hunt in Utah is high the trophy quality is higher yet with 180-200 inch bucks not uncommon. Call our office for availability – we only get so many permits for each property and they book early.

Gallery Sonora Mule Deer Hunts

Sonora Mexico is one of the hot destinations in today’s mule deer hunting world. This desolate desert area yields some of the biggest mule deer in the west with 200”+ size bucks not uncommon and 170-180 class bucks commonly harvested. Success rates run 75% with honest outfitters and we have a good family run outfit on 25,000 acres of private lands located 4 ½ hours from the Hermosillo airport. The property is very remote and perfectly situated in the center of monster mule deer country. Lodging is basic but we have showers, satellite TV, generator, American guide staff, and heat stoves for at night. Cost for January 2010 hunts is set at $8,500 plus gun permit & license fees. No trophy fees or additional costs outside of travel expenses. Hunters are all picked up at the Hermosillo airport. Limited to seven to eight hunters per year.
